Medical Laboratory Scientist

Responsibilities: Collect, receive, process, and analyze patient specimens. Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests according to approved procedures. Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory results. Maintain strict quality control and quality assurance standards. Follow laboratory safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures. Identify and report abnormal or critical test results promptly. Maintain proper records of specimens, test results, and laboratory activities. Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field. Must be a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with the appropriate professional regulatory body. Valid practising license/certificate. Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality-control practices. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and teamwork skills.
