Driver

Responsibilities:

Safely transport company staff, clients, goods, and materials to assigned destinations. Operate company vehicles responsibly and in compliance with traffic laws. Conduct daily checks of the vehicle before and after use. Ensure the vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained. Plan efficient routes and consider traffic conditions to ensure timely arrival. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance. Monitor tyres, engine oil, brakes, lights, battery, and other basic vehicle components. Report mechanical faults, accidents, damages, or maintenance requirements promptly. Assist with loading and unloading goods or materials when required. Ensure company property, documents, and transported goods are handled securely. Carry out official errands, deliveries, and collections as assigned. Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, licence, and other required documents remain valid. Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality when transporting staff and clients. Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and organized at all times. Follow company driving policies, health and safety procedures, and road safety regulations. Respond appropriately to emergencies, breakdowns, or unexpected road conditions. Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

Proven years of professional driving experience. Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle. Proven experience as a company, corporate, or professional driver. Good knowledge of local and major routes. Strong knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations. Good defensive driving and vehicle-handling skills. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Reliable, punctual, disciplined, and trustworthy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain accurate vehicle and trip records. Physically fit and able to work flexible hours when required. Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
