Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef specialising in Bangladeshi cuisine to join our kitchen team in Singapore.

The successful candidate should have strong knowledge and practical experience in preparing authentic Bangladeshi dishes and be able to maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, including traditional curries, biryani, rice dishes, grilled items, breads and other local specialities.
• Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation of all dishes.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades and other kitchen components according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
• Monitor food quality, freshness and portion control.
• Ensure proper food handling, hygiene and kitchen safety standards are followed.
• Manage cooking during busy service periods efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Assist with menu preparation and development of Bangladeshi dishes where required.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Chef specialising in Bangladeshi cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Bangladeshi cooking methods, ingredients, spices and recipes.
• Able to independently prepare authentic Bangladeshi dishes.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Relevant culinary qualifications or formal training will be an advantage.

Experience

Candidates with proven professional experience in Bangladeshi restaurants, catering operations or commercial kitchens are preferred.
