Mission Brief
As part of the Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) team, you will lead mission analysis activities for upcoming flights and play a key role in ensuring mission success from early design through flight operations. You will be responsible for maintaining, utilizing, and continuously improving the company's high-fidelity 6DoF simulation environment, which serves as the primary tool for trajectory, performance, and mission analyses. In addition, you will shape and enhance mission analysis processes, develop supporting tools and automation, and contribute to a robust CI/CD framework that enables efficient and reliable simulation and verification workflows
Your Role in Our Space Mission
Lead mission analysis activities for upcoming launch missions, including performance assessment, trajectory evaluation, and flight readiness analyses
Own and manage the technical data interfaces with multidisciplinary teams, including Propulsion, Structures, and Mission & Launch Operations (MLO)
Develop, execute, and analyze Monte Carlo simulations to assess vehicle performance, robustness, and mission success probabilities
Maintain, improve, and extend the 6DoF and 3DoF simulation environments, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and traceability of analysis results
Support mission-specific trajectory design and optimization efforts using both high-fidelity and reduced-order simulation tools
Develop and maintain automated analysis pipelines, report generation tools, and post-processing frameworks
Design, implement, and maintain unit and integration tests to support automated verification within the CI/CD toolchain
Lead mission analysis contributions to regulatory and flight licensing activities, including preparation of required analysis documentation
Own the payload controller functionality and serve as the primary GNC interface to the Mission & Launch Operations team
Contribute to the continuous improvement of mission analysis methodologies, processes, and documentation standards across the organization
Qualification Checklist
Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics or similar
At least 3 years of experience in mathematical modelling, development, validation and verification of algorithms throughout the disciplines of Guidance, Navigation and Control
Strong background in mathematical modelling and data analysis in MATLAB and all relevant Tools (Simulink, Stateflow, autocoding etc.)
Strong background in Mission Analysis for orbital vehicles
Experience with ASTOS or similar trajectory optimization tools
Proficient in data analysis in frequency and time domain with Python
Experience in C/C++ flight software development
Proficient in rigid and elastic body dynamics and Orbit mechanics
Experience with large software projects in GIT
Experience with project management tools like Jira
Fluent in English
