Job Purpose

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving the sales and distribution of the Company's food and beverage products, achieving assigned sales targets, developing new outlets, maintaining existing customers, generating repeat orders, expanding market coverage, collecting receivables and improving product visibility throughout the assigned territory. Although the position is based in Kumasi, the Sales Executive must be willing and available to undertake sales trips, market-development activities and customer visits outside Kumasi and in other parts of Ghana as assigned by Management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

2. Visit customers daily according to the Company's approved sales route and territory plan.

3. Identify, prospect and open new supermarkets, wholesalers, retailers, hotels, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores and institutional accounts.

4. Undertake approved sales trips and market-development visits outside Kumasi to identify customers, develop new territories and increase the Company's distribution network.

5. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and generate regular repeat orders.

6. Take customer orders accurately and submit them promptly for verification and processing.

7. Ensure maximum availability and distribution of Company food and beverage products within assigned markets.

8. Promote priority products, new products, promotional products and slow-moving products.

9. Ensure proper shelf placement, merchandising and visibility of Company products.

10. Monitor customers' stock levels and encourage timely replenishment.

11. Regularly check expiry dates and stock rotation at customer outlets and report slow-moving, short-dated and near-expiry products.

12. Follow up on deliveries and report shortages, rejected goods or incorrect deliveries promptly.

13. Collect outstanding customer receivables according to approved Company procedures and account accurately for all cash, cheques and payments collected on behalf of the Company.

14. Ensure customers remain within approved credit limits and payment terms; avoid unauthorised discounts, credit sales, price changes or product exchanges.

15. Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales, orders, collections and outstanding balances and submit daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.

16. Monitor competitor brands, prices, promotions, packaging and market activities and provide Management with relevant market intelligence and customer feedback.

17. Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues promptly.

18. Work closely with Finance, Operations, Warehouse and Delivery teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment.

19. Participate in food and beverage exhibitions, product sampling, activations, promotions and market-development activities.

20. Use Company vehicles, fuel, phones and other resources responsibly and perform any other sales-related duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

⦁ HND or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or related discipline.

⦁ Minimum of two (2) years' experience in food and beverage FMCG sales or distribution is preferred.

⦁ Experience selling juices, beverages, snacks, pasta, rice, cooking oil, sauces or related food products is an advantage.

⦁ Good knowledge of the Kumasi and Ashanti Region food and beverage retail and wholesale market.

⦁ Strong selling, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.

⦁ Good numerical and reporting skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

⦁ Ability to work independently and meet demanding sales targets.

⦁ High level of honesty, integrity, discipline and accountability.

⦁ Valid driving licence is an advantage.

⦁ Must be willing and able to work full-time in Kumasi.

⦁ Must be willing and available to travel regularly on sales trips, customer visits, market surveys and business-development assignments to towns, cities and regions outside Kumasi whenever required by Management.

⦁ Must be prepared to stay outside Kumasi when an authorised sales trip requires an overnight stay.

Mandatory Guarantor Requirement

Every successful applicant must provide a minimum of two (2) qualified guarantors who satisfy all conditions specified in the Infant Prodigy Ltd Guarantor Form. One guarantor must be an immediate family member, such as a parent, sibling or spouse, while the other must be a non-family member, such as an employer, colleague, community leader or religious leader. Both guarantors must satisfy the Company's prescribed requirements relating to age, employment or verifiable business, income, identification, residency, length of relationship with the applicant and verification. Employment shall not be fully confirmed until the required guarantors have been satisfactorily verified and approved by the Company.

⦁ The employee must maintain high standards of honesty, integrity, professionalism and accountability.

⦁ The employee must protect Company inventory, cash, vehicles, equipment, documents and other assets entrusted to him or her.

⦁ The employee must comply with Company policies, food and beverage handling procedures, inventory controls and lawful Management instructions.

⦁ The employee must maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

⦁ The employee must undertake authorized travel outside Kumasi when required for duties relevant to the position.
