About the role

We are hiring for our Singapore-based hedge fund investing with a long-term horizon through a highly concentrated portfolio focused primarily on US and Korean equities. Our barbell strategy combines high-growth secular winners with deeply-undervalued, high-quality businesses. Rather than tracking benchmarks or reacting to short-term market trends, we back a small number of market-leading companies and potential multi-baggers where our conviction is highest. We accept periods of volatility in pursuit of superior long-term compounding and have consistently outperformed the market over the long term.

Working directly with the Portfolio Manager, you will contribute to idea generation and portfolio monitoring while helping to build faster, more systematic research processes using AI tools and practical coding workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in company investor-relations calls and meetings, identify the key investment implications, and produce clear, structured notes for the Portfolio Manager.
  • Track key macroeconomic indicators and structural changes across major industries, highlighting developments that may affect portfolio companies or create new investment opportunities.
  • Identify shifts in market leadership across Korea and the US, including changes in leading sectors and stocks, and communicate their implications for the portfolio and research pipeline.
  • Maintain and recommend adjustments to the internal model portfolio in line with the fund’s investment strategy and risk framework.
  • Identify recurring research and monitoring tasks that can be automated or systematized, then build practical AI-assisted workflows and lightweight tools to improve the speed, consistency and depth of the investment process.

Requirements — applicants must meet both of the following criteria to be considered:

  • Bilingual fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written)
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and persistence in research — you continue investigating questions until you understand the underlying business, industry and investment implications.

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong interest in Korean and US equity markets, especially secular growth leaders and high-quality compounders.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and corporate finance; ability to build and maintain Excel-based DCF and valuation models is a plus.
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted, no-code and lightweight coding work flows to build practical dashboards, screeners and research tools.
  • Rigorous attention to detail, intellectual honesty and the ability to take ownership of work in a fast-moving investment environment.
  • Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are preferred.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an intellectually curious investor who wants meaningful exposure to investment decision-making rather than a narrowly defined support role. You will work closely with the Portfolio Manager, develop a detailed understanding of companies and industries in Korea and the US, and have the scope to improve how the fund conducts research through technology and automation.

Compensation

Compensation will be set at a top-tier level within the market, consisting of a base salary and a performance-based bonus.

How to apply

Please apply and include:

Your CV (in English or Korean), and a short cover letter explaining why Korean and US equities interest you, describing one company or investment theme you have researched in depth, and outlining any experience you have with financial modelling, AI-assisted research or workflow automation.
