Part-Time/Freelance English Teacher

Position Title: Part-Time English Tuition Teacher Employment Type: Part-Time / Contract Location: Physical and Online (One-North / Marina) Class Levels: [e.g., Primary / Secondary / High School / IELTS / General Literacy] Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and energetic Part-Time English Tuition Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will deliver engaging English lessons to small groups or individual students, helping them improve their language proficiency, academic performance, and confidence in reading, writing, and speaking. Key Responsibilities Lesson Delivery: Conduct engaging, structured English tuition sessions tailored to curriculum requirements and student age groups.

Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance through regular coursework, practice tests, and assignments to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Curriculum Support: Adapt provided learning materials or develop supplementary resources to suit diverse learning styles.

Feedback & Communication: Provide constructive feedback to students and brief parents regularly on academic progress and behavioural development.

Classroom Management: Maintain an encouraging, safe, and disciplined environment conducive to learning.

Key Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field (undergraduates with strong academic track records are welcome to apply).

Experience: Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or teaching assistant roles is preferred.

Skills: Native or near-native English fluency (written and spoken). Bonus if able to translate or speak basic mandarin to non-native speakers

Strong knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and creative writing techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience and ability to connect with students of varying learning abilities.

Availability: Must be able to commit to teach during working school and tuition center hours on both weekdays or weekends as scheduled. This includes afternoon/evening classes on weekends.

Working Hours & Compensation Hours: As per student class schedule assigned, typically during weekday and weekends).

Hourly Rate: $50-70 depending on student grade level
