Interim FP&A Analyst

About the company

HW Finance are recruiting for an Interim FP&A Specialist to join a business in Leeds City Centre for a short-term interim assignment. This is a highly analytical role, offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact through financial modelling, data-driven insights, and process improvement initiatives.

Your tasks

Key responsibilities will include

• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.
• Analysing large, complex data sets from multiple sources to deliver meaningful commercial insights.
• Producing detailed financial and operational reporting for key stakeholders.
• Supporting scenario analysis, trend analysis, and business performance evaluation.
• Reconciling high volumes of financial and operational data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, modelling capability, and data utilisation.
• Responding to ad hoc analytical requests from senior stakeholders and operational leadership teams.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, experience working with high volumes of data, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights. Previous FP&A, financial modelling, or commercially focused finance experience will be highly advantageous.

What we offer

Offered hybrid working, you will join the business for a period of 6-8 weeks with the expectations to make an immediate impact, with a salary equivalent of £65,000 - £75,000, although a day-rate route may be considered for the right individual.
