- Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break
- Friday: 8:00 AM–12:30 PM, no lunch break
No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays.
🎯 Job Summary
St Andrew’s School (Secondary) is seeking a Discipline Support Officer to support the school’s disciplinary administration and operations. The role involves student misconduct investigations, student engagement, pastoral support, supervision, conflict de-escalation and maintaining a safe school environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Fact-Finding & Investigation
- Assist the Discipline Team in investigating student misconduct and bullying cases.
- Conduct fact-finding in accordance with school guidelines and processes.
- Gather relevant information objectively and accurately.
- Document investigation findings and maintain proper case records.
Student Engagement & Pastoral Care
- Engage students involved in disciplinary cases, including offenders and victims.
- Provide appropriate pastoral support and guidance.
- Build positive relationships with students, particularly those considered at-risk.
- Identify early warning signs of behavioural issues and escalate concerns to relevant school personnel.
- Support safety plans for affected students.
- Monitor student well-being following disciplinary incidents.
Supervision & School Safety
- Provide an adult presence at identified locations during key periods such as before school, recess, dismissal and lesson transitions.
- Conduct regular patrols to promote positive student behaviour.
- Respond to student misconduct, conflicts and other student-management concerns.
- Support the de-escalation of student conflicts.
- Refer students safely to the appropriate school personnel.
- Monitor students serving school-based disciplinary consequences or interventions when required.
- Identify environmental or situational factors contributing to recurring disciplinary issues and recommend preventive measures.
🎓 Qualifications
Minimum GCE N-Level Certificate .
💼 Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working in a school or equivalent environment . Prior experience in the Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Police Force, other relevant uniformed services and/or schools is relevant, particularly in:
- Leadership
- Investigation
- Training
- Personnel management
- Community engagement
- Operational responsibilities
Experience working with youths or in an educational environment is advantageous.
