Holisticon Insight is a data-focused technology and consulting company, part of the Nexer Group. Our mission is simple: We make companies Data Driven. We build data platforms and data-intensive systems that solve real business problems. We work end-to-end, from integrating data from multiple sources (including IoT and operational systems), through building scalable data pipelines and semantic layers, to delivering analytics and AI solutions used in production.

Our projects often combine data engineering, cloud, and software development. We don’t just process data - we also build systems that generate it, such as IoT and digital platforms, which later become part of the data ecosystem. You’ll work on real use cases – optimizing processes, enabling better decisions, and building data products used by business teams. We focus on clean architecture, modern tech stacks, and ownership of what we build. At Holisticon Insight we value strong engineering skills, autonomy, and collaboration. We keep a flat structure, small teams, and a lot of responsibility on the engineer level.

Nexer/Holisticon Insight is building a joint transformation team with an industrial engineering client to move a large R&D organisation towards AI-assisted and agentic development. The programme runs over several years and works from a shared backlog. It covers engineering knowledge management, validation, governance and organisational adoption as well as the tooling itself. This is one of the few places where agentic engineering is being applied to real industrial software rather than to demonstrations. Very little of it has an existing template, so a good part of the job is working out what the right answer looks like and then showing that it holds. The client is serious about it, their engineers are experienced and sceptical in the way good engineers usually are, and the programme has the time and the funding to do the work properly rather than quickly. If you have been waiting for a chance to take this technology further than a pilot, this is that chance.

The role You lead the technical design of what the team builds, working closely with the client's own engineers. The programme also has a part-time Principal Architect who looks after the programme-level architecture and governance, so the wider architectural decisions are taken together rather than alone. Code generation is only one part of this work and the client has already made a start on it. The more interesting problems are giving an organisation an engineering memory it can trust, showing that AI-generated output behaves correctly against a system already running in production and deciding what an agent may read before anything is ingested.

Engagement Consultant role through Holisticon Insight. Full-time. Mainly remote, with travel to Sweden during workshop weeks.

Daily tasks

  • Design and deliver agentic engineering workflows across the client's SDLC, integrated into the tools and CI/CD they already run.
  • Design the retrieval and memory layer over their engineering artefacts, so that any answer can be traced back to the document and revision it came from.
  • Define how AI-generated output is validated: fixed baselines, comparison against the running implementation and detection of output that satisfies a test without solving the problem.
  • Write the classification and access rules, enforced outside the agent, with human decision points where a person should decide.
  • Take part in technical assessment workshops, pilot selection and the measures the programme reports against.

Requirements

We are looking for An architect who enjoys staying hands-on.

Experience with LLM-based systems in production: retrieval, evaluation, guardrails, human review.

Familiarity with agent runtimes and tool protocols at implementation level.

Modern SDLC and CI/CD, plus a view on how agent automation changes them.

Fluent English. At ease running technical sessions with experienced engineers.

Comfortable working while the scope is still being defined.

Useful, though not required Nobody will have all of these. C, embedded or safety-critical development, where a fix after release is expensive.

Testing of long-lived systems: differential testing, simulation, regression suites, test evidence.

Knowledge graphs, semantic search or making messy document collections searchable.

Self-hosted and local model deployment.

Databricks, including governance and access control over data.

EU AI Act and Cyber Resilience Act, both of which have dates inside the programme.

Industrial, manufacturing or other engineering-heavy R&D.

Must have: Protocols, SDLC, Testing, AI, R, CI/CD

Nice to have: C, Embedded, Graph database, Databricks, Cyber Resilience Act, EU AI Act, Software testing
