Care giver/Health worker

Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate and professional care to the client.

Assist with daily personal care and activities where required.

Monitor the client’s general wellbeing and report any unusual changes or concerns.

Assist with medication reminders and ensure medications are taken as prescribed.

Support mobility, feeding, bathing, dressing, and other daily routines as required.

Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the client.

Accompany the client to medical appointments when necessary.

Keep accurate records of relevant observations, medications, and care activities.

Communicate appropriately with family members regarding the client’s wellbeing.

Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies and unexpected situations.

Maintain confidentiality and respect the client’s privacy and dignity at all times.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a caregiver, health worker, nursing assistant, or similar role.

Relevant healthcare or caregiving qualification is an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of first aid and health and safety procedures.

Good understanding of personal hygiene and elderly/patient care.

Ability to recognise and report changes in a client’s condition.

Must be patient, trustworthy, compassionate, and responsible.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Must be physically capable of assisting with daily care activities.

References from previous employers are an advantage.
