Role Description The STEM Facilitator is a full-time, on-site role based in Kumasi. This role involves planning and delivering engaging STEM and STEAM lessons, workshops, and project-based activities for learners of various age groups. The facilitator will guide students through hands-on experiments and demonstrations, ensuring safety, clarity, and active participation. Daily tasks include preparing materials, setting up learning spaces, assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also covers collaborating with other facilitators, updating curricula, and participating in outreach or school events to promote GSTEAM programs. The STEM Facilitator is expected to maintain accurate records of sessions, adapt instruction to different learning styles, and support a positive, inclusive learning environment. Qualifications

Strong foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and/or Mathematics, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and practically. Experience facilitating workshops, teaching, tutoring, or mentoring learners in educational or youth-focused settings. Ability to design and deliver hands-on, project-based learning activities that are safe, age-appropriate, and engaging. Effective communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills to work with diverse learners and colleagues. Organizational skills for lesson planning, material preparation, and documentation of learner progress. Comfort with basic educational technology and tools used for demonstrations, presentations, and learner collaboration. Commitment to gender-neutral, inclusive, and non-discriminatory teaching practices that support all learners. Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in Education, STEM fields, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Prior experience in STEM outreach, after-school programs, or informal learning environments is an advantage. Ability to work on-site in Kumasi and maintain reliable availability for full-time schedules.
