Content Creator

Responsibilities

Research and identify trending, positive and engaging Nigerian stories.

Create short-form videos, Reels, TikToks and social media content.

Develop creative content ideas that can drive views, shares, comments and followers.

Write compelling captions, headlines and scripts.

Present or participate in video content where required.

Attend events and create real-time content for GNN.

Monitor trends, sounds, hashtags and viral formats.

Repurpose stories across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and the GNN website.

Collaborate with the editorial, social media and production teams.

Track content performance and use insights to improve future content.

Maintain GNN’s tone, brand identity and focus on “the good in Nigeria.”

Requirements:

A minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in content creation, social media or digital media. Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Excellent storytelling and communication skills. Ability to shoot and edit videos using CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar tools. Comfortable appearing on camera. Strong understanding of Nigerian social media trends and pop culture. Creative, proactive and able to work under tight deadlines. A good eye for visuals, hooks and viral content.
