🏫 About Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School (GMIS) Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School (GMIS) Jakarta is an international school committed to providing quality education in a diverse and multicultural environment. As part of its daily operations, GMIS relies on reliable and secure IT infrastructure to support teaching, learning, administration, and school-wide activities. We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to manage and maintain the school’s network infrastructure across its campuses and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network operations.

💼 Job Summary

1. Network Infrastructure: Manage and maintain the school’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, IP addressing, cabling, and other network devices. Ensure the network remains reliable, stable, and available across all campuses.
2. Network Security: Manage firewall policies, VPN connections, access controls, and network segmentation to maintain a secure network environment. Monitor potential security issues and perform regular updates, patching, and security checks.
3. Wi-Fi & Wireless Network: Manage and optimize campus-wide Wi-Fi networks, including wireless controllers, SSIDs, coverage, and performance. Troubleshoot connectivity and wireless security issues to ensure reliable access for staff, students, and guests.
4. CCTV & Surveillance Network: Manage the network infrastructure supporting IP CCTV systems, including PoE connectivity and NVRs. Ensure stable connectivity and troubleshoot network or recording issues when required.
5. Inter-Campus Connectivity: Manage network connectivity between the Jakarta, Bali, and Semarang campuses, including WAN/ISP connections and VPNs. Coordinate with ISPs and vendors and provide on-site support when required.
6. Network Monitoring & Documentation: Monitor network performance, bandwidth, uptime, and device health to identify and resolve issues proactively. Maintain accurate network configurations, backups, diagrams, IP plans, inventory, and other technical documentation.
7. IT Support & Collaboration: Provide L2/L3 network support for escalated technical issues and assist with IT projects, deployments, and upgrades. Work closely with the IT team to support school operations, examinations, events, and other critical activities.
8. Maintenance & Improvement: Perform regular preventive maintenance and identify opportunities to improve network reliability, security, and performance. Stay updated with relevant networking technologies and best practices.

🔎 Qualifications

• Can speak english is a must
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• CCNA certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, and switching.
• Experience in managing firewalls, Wi-Fi networks, and network security.
• Experience with CCTV/IP surveillance networking is an advantage.
• Familiar with network monitoring and management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to travel between campuses when required.
