Architecture Technical Office Engineer

Prepare and review architectural shop drawings, detailed drawings, and construction drawings.

Develop detailed architectural layouts, sections, elevations, and details based on approved designs.

Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other disciplines.

Review design drawings and identify discrepancies, clashes, and missing information.

Prepare RFIs (Requests for Information) and coordinate technical clarifications with consultants and designers.

Review contractor and subcontractor drawings and technical submissions.

Prepare and review material submittals, samples, and technical data sheets.

Ensure architectural materials and finishes comply with approved specifications and project requirements.

Prepare as-built drawings and ensure they accurately reflect the completed works.

Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, BOQs, and material quantity calculations when required.

Support the preparation and evaluation of variations, change orders, and technical claims.

Coordinate with the site team to resolve architectural technical issues during construction.

Conduct site inspections to verify that executed works comply with approved drawings and specifications.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, submittals, RFIs, and technical correspondence.

Track drawing and document approvals and ensure the latest approved revisions are used on site.

Assist the project team in maintaining project schedules and identifying potential technical delays.

Participate in technical meetings and provide architectural input and solutions.

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and project specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.

Typically 3–7 years of experience in architectural technical office work, preferably within construction or contracting companies.

Strong knowledge of architectural construction details, materials, and finishing works.

Experience with commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, or mixed-use projects is an advantage.
