Class 4 driver
Your tasks
You will transport marine machinery, spare parts, tools, and materials between the workshop, suppliers, shipyards, and designated delivery locations. You will also assist with loading, unloading, and logistics coordination to support ship repair and maintenance projects.
- Drive company Class 4 vehicles to collect and deliver marine equipment, machinery, spare parts, and materials.
- Coordinate with project managers, workshop staff, suppliers, and shipyard personnel to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading, ensuring cargo is properly secured before transportation.
- Check delivery orders and verify the quantities and condition of items collected and delivered.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report defects, servicing requirements, or incidents.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, trip logs, and vehicle inspection records.
- Follow road traffic rules, company safety procedures, and shipyard access requirements.
- Keep the vehicle clean and assist with organising tools and materials in the workshop when required.
- Work flexible hours according to vessel schedules and operational needs. Start and finish times may vary, with early morning, evening, weekend, or public holiday work required from time to time.
Requirements
Required Competencies and Qualifications
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience driving heavy vehicles.
- Experience transporting machinery or supporting marine, shipyard, or engineering operations preferred.
- Able to assist with loading, unloading, and handling materials using appropriate equipment and safe working methods.
- Able to understand delivery instructions and maintain basic delivery records.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to coordinate effectively with colleagues and delivery personnel.
- Willing to travel to different work locations across Singapore and accommodate varying work schedules.
