Assistant Manager – Project Cargo (MNC Freight Forwarding / Shipping Operations / Central)

Job Scope Arrange and coordinate shipments by sea, air or land Implement and supervise tracking & tracing tools when in place for the respective project Update the tracking & tracing tools when in place for the respective project Develop together with the client sufficient Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)and implement those within the team and relevant office in the network Understand and guide respective team members to ensure contract's terms and conditions are adhered and complied Apply the necessary customs permits Liaise with contractors on timely collection and delivery of cargoes in Singapore Liaise with respective overseas offices and agents Attending to site meetings, surveys & loadouts as and when required Acknowledge incoming invoices and raise invoices to customers for payment Update and operate the Operations System (BLU) Update the tracking and tracing tools when in place for respective project Prepare quotations to clients, other office or agents Request and negotiate ad-hoc quotations from approved carriers, supplier and sub-contractor to ensure quality service at the best possible rate Ensure all clients requests are shared with the Operations Manager or Project Manager Requirement Diploma in Business Administration / Logistics management or equivalent 5 – 7 years of working experience in freight forwarding industry
