Education:
Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience.
Tasks:
- Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components.
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files..
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
