Logistics Manager
Roles & Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, deliveries, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Organise and manage daily delivery schedules to ensure smooth and timely movement of goods.
Lead and coordinate drivers, logistics staff, and delivery teams to maintain operational efficiency.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, transporters, and external logistics partners to support operational requirements.
Track incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure goods are delivered accurately and within the required timeframe.
Review transportation and logistics expenses and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
Maintain proper records and documentation for deliveries, shipments, inventory movements, and logistics transactions.
Coordinate vehicle utilisation, servicing, maintenance, and scheduling to support daily operations.
Investigate and resolve delivery delays, shipment discrepancies, damaged or missing goods, and other logistics-related issues.
Review existing workflows and implement improvements to enhance productivity, control costs, and maintain high service standards.
Ensure logistics activities comply with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and distribution operations.
Key Requirements Diploma or relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, or a related discipline. Relevant working experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or distribution operations. Good understanding of delivery planning, fleet coordination, and logistics processes. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Able to lead and coordinate drivers and operational personnel effectively. Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, suppliers, and service providers. Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with logistics, inventory, or ERP systems. Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
