The opportunity

Dove Green Private School is seeking an inspirational and strategic Head of Inclusion to lead the development of inclusive provision across the whole school. This is a key middle-leadership role, working closely with senior leaders to ensure that pupils with SEND, additional learning needs, MAGT and ELL are identified early, supported effectively and enabled to make strong academic, social and emotional progress.

The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping whole-school inclusive practice, strengthening systems and provision, developing staff expertise and using evidence and pupil outcomes to drive continuous improvement. You will support the Assistant Principal for Wellbeing and Inclusion and help ensure that inclusive practice reflects the school's commitment to equity, high expectations and inclusion for all learners.

Key responsibilities

Lead the strategic development of inclusive provision across the school in line with KHDA guidance and school priorities.

Oversee the early identification, assessment and tracking of pupils with SEND, additional learning needs, MAGT and ELL.

Work with SENCOs to ensure high-quality, personalised provision, pupil support plans and targeted interventions.

Monitor pupil progress, attainment, engagement and wellbeing, using data to inform decision-making and evaluate impact.

Provide guidance, modelling and coaching to teachers, SENCOs, the ELL Lead and learning support staff to promote consistently strong adaptive teaching.

Lead professional development and training related to inclusion and contribute to a culture of reflective practice.

Line lead SENCOs and Inclusion Learning Support Assistants and support recruitment, induction and ongoing development.

Oversee inclusion resources and budgets, ensuring they are used efficiently and have a positive impact.

Ensure inclusive practice and documentation meet KHDA requirements and inspection expectations.

Champion safeguarding, wellbeing, positive behaviour, emotional regulation, equity, diversity and a strong sense of belonging.

What we are looking for

A relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification.

An accredited SENCO qualification or equivalent SEND leadership training.

Proven experience leading SEND provision within a mainstream school.

A strong understanding of the KHDA Inclusive Education Policy and related guidance.

Experience monitoring the impact, outcomes and quality of inclusive provision.

Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

A genuine commitment to inclusive values and high expectations for every pupil.

Desirable experience

Experience working across multiple phases or year groups.

Experience preparing for or contributing to inspection processes.

Experience leading professional development in SEND and inclusion.
