D&M Pharmacy & Travel Clinic is looking for an experienced and motivated *Pharmacy Assistant* to join our team. We are seeking someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care and customer service.
The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists and the pharmacy team in a busy community pharmacy environment.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized *Pharmacy Assistant program*
- Minimum *1 year of pharmacy experience* required
- Experience working in a community pharmacy is preferred
- *Kroll experience is an asset*
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and assist patients and healthcare providers in person and by telephone
- Receive prescriptions and assist with prescription processing and preparation
- Prepare medications and pharmaceutical products under the direction of the pharmacist
- Process third-party insurance claims and resolve rejected or problematic claims
- Assist with pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and removing expired products
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete administrative tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
- Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Support the pharmacist and pharmacy team with day-to-day operations
