Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable, secure microservices with minimal oversight
  • Turn customer needs and business goals into clear technical requirements, and drive them to delivery alongside product, security, and operations partners
  • Deploy to the cloud (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure) using Terraform, and run containerized workloads on Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ship well-tested code and improve our automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
  • Review code and designs, and mentor teammates through pairing and constructive feedback
  • Build with security in mind to protect applications from vulnerabilities
  • Use AI-assisted and spec-driven development tools to move faster without sacrificing quality
  • Keep documentation current for the systems you own
  • Join our on-call rotation for production incidents

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong skills in Go or Python
  • Experience building APIs and microservices
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Terraform
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic)
  • Familiarity with core cybersecurity principles
  • Experience with spec-driven development or other agentic development tools
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
