Chinese Teacher 华文老师 — Primary (Mon to Fri, No Weekends)
Teach Chinese to primary school children — Monday to Friday, no evenings, no weekends.
What we offer
- $3,000–$3,500 a month, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, afternoons only. No evening classes. No weekend classes. Ever. Most Chinese teaching jobs take your evenings and your Saturdays. This one gives them back.
- Lessons come prepared. A structured Chinese programme with materials, worksheets and assessments provided — your time goes into teaching the class in front of you, not into preparing one.
- A 1:12 ratio , against an industry norm closer to 1:20

What you'll do
- Teach Chinese enrichment classes to Primary 1–6 from a structured programme, with materials provided
- Guide children through their school Chinese homework — 听写, 造句, comprehension and composition — to genuine understanding, not just completion
- Run a short daily Chinese practice block with the wider group: spelling, reading aloud, vocabulary
- Track each child's progress and share what you see with their parents
- Build real relationships with children and families — be the adult they trust
- Handle the administration that keeps a class running: attendance, progress notes, parent communication
Who we're looking for
- Strong spoken and written Mandarin — confident teaching the MOE primary Chinese syllabus, P1 to P6
- Conversational English for speaking with parents and colleagues
- Diploma or Degree in any discipline
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident (required for this role)
- Warm with children, steady in a busy afternoon, organised on paper
Teaching experience is preferred but not required. If your Chinese is strong and you are good with children, we will train you in pedagogy and classroom management.
