Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications under appropriate supervision.

Receive, organize, label, and store medications appropriately.

Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and pharmacy stock.

Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or near-expiry medications.

Assist with stock-taking and inventory reconciliation.

Ensure proper storage conditions and maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.

Attend to patients professionally and provide appropriate non-clinical assistance regarding prescriptions and medication collection.

Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and other members of the clinic team.

Follow the clinic’s policies, procedures, and applicable pharmacy regulations.

Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Relevant qualification/certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

Appropriate registration/licensing where required.

Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, community pharmacy, or similar healthcare environment is an advantage.

Good knowledge of medication handling and pharmacy inventory management.

Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer proficiency.

Professional, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
