Role: Legal Conveyancing Assistant
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 Contract: Full time, permanent Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
CRA Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a modern, forward-thinking law firm with a strong presence across the East Midlands. Following continued growth and internal progression, they are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Conveyancing Assistant to join their residential property team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive environment. The firm has invested heavily in technology and efficient working processes, allowing the team to provide a high-quality service to clients while maintaining a modern approach to conveyancing.
The Role
Working alongside experienced conveyancers, you will provide support throughout the residential conveyancing process, assisting with the day-to-day management of matters and ensuring transactions progress efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
- Supporting fee earners with the progression of caseloads
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties
- Preparing and maintaining legal documentation and correspondence
- Carrying out general conveyancing administration and file management
- Ensuring deadlines and key stages of transactions are managed effectively
- Providing a high level of client service throughout the process
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within residential conveyancing
- A good understanding of conveyancing procedures and processes
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
- A reliable, efficient and proactive approach to your work
- A genuine desire to develop a long-term career within residential property
A CLC or CILEX qualification, or relevant ongoing study, would be advantageous but is not essential.
