Description

XXXX XXXX is a regulated financial ecosystem for embedded, in-house, and globally orchestrated payments, operated by XXXX DL S.A. - a payment institution licensed and supervised by the CSSF in Luxembourg. You are employed by XXXX S.A. and work on XXXX's products and platform. The role holds no regulated function at XXXX DL S.A.: decisions on regulated activities, safeguarding and client funds sit with XXXX DL S.A.'s Authorized Management and Compliance.

Your mission

Own the payments products and the platform roadmap from requirement to production. You write and own the business requirements, including those for XXXX's in-house payment data, and you carry the day-to-day product relationship with our external payment partners. You report to the COO and work day-to-day with the CTO on technology delivery.

What You'll Do

Delivery

  • Platform dashboards and portals, and the service and support layer around them
  • New and add-on services and sub-products, from requirement to launch
  • ISO 20022 alignment across all the above

In-house payment data

  • Write and own the business requirements documents, and user guides for XXXX's in-house payment data on our core platform: the payment and transaction data model, payment lifecycle and status data, returns, rejects and recalls, statements, and the reporting feeds
  • Define the data behind client and portal dashboards, and keep one data dictionary as the single reference for all teams
  • Agree definitions and acceptance criteria with IT, Finance, Compliance and Operations, and sign off each release against them
  • Operations owns the reconciliation and payment operations processes, and Compliance owns the content of regulatory reports. You own the requirements for the data they rely on.

Requirements and change control

  • Create and optimize the business requirements documents, user guides, and manage the review cycles with the relevant departments
  • Lock scope once approved and manage change requests through a documented process
  • Maintain a single delivery plan. Escalate slippage as soon as it is known, in writing, with a revised date
  • Run testing and release impact analysis. Produce user documentation and training material

External payment partners

  • Initiate, continue and own the day-to-day product and delivery relationship with our external payment partners: card issuing, FX, correspondent banks, acquiring, and other embedded service providers
  • Align partner roadmaps with ours, run integrations and change requests, keep partner documentation current, and follow up product-side incidents
  • Run a regular service review with each partner, together with Operations for service levels

Reporting and team

  • Report delivery status in the weekly execution review.
  • Line management of the existing Project Manager and UI/UX designer. You deliver through specialists in IT, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations and Marketing

Your profile

Must-haves

  • 10+ years in payments or banking, including product ownership of payment services end to end.
  • You have delivered system changes from end to end.
  • ISO 20022 as a data model, not only as a message format.
  • You write business requirements documents and manage scope control. You are equally comfortable in contract documents: you can read a multi-party agreement and say which entity owes what to whom.
  • Experience managing external partners and suppliers against agreed service levels.
  • English: fluent, written and spoken.
  • Legal right to work in the European Union.

Ways of working

  • Able to deliver through teams that do not report to you.
  • Clear written communication, including delays, risks, and dependencies.

Bonus

  • Knowledge in treasury, ERP, or service aggregation structures
  • T2 or TIPS participation experience
  • KYC and screening tools, or regulatory reporting
  • Additional European language fluency, e.g. French or German

Why us?

  • A regulated payments platform in active build, with a multi-year roadmap and new market openings each year. The scope of the role grows accordingly.
  • A broad remit. You cover the platform's portals, services, payment data and partner relationships, not a single product line.
  • Real autonomy. You own your delivery plan and your dates, and you work directly with the executive team rather than through layers.
  • A clear measure of success. Twelve months in, the launches on today's roadmap are live, the in-house payment data requirements are approved, and the data dictionary is in use; every external payment partner has a named owner and a regular service review; and the requirements process runs without anyone chasing it.
  • Permanent Luxembourg contract, indexed, with meal vouchers.

Equal opportunity: XXXX recruits on the work. We welcome applications from everyone and do not discriminate on any ground protected by Luxembourg or EU law.
