The Associate Vice-President Marketing is responsible for assisting the VP Marketing with various projects and tasks, including compiling, updating and uploading any information with regard to ongoing CUS events to a number of communication channels, the Marketing Commission and other initiatives. The Associate Vice-President Marketing will be heavily involved in marketing strategy, development and implementation throughout the year.

Time Commitment & Term of Employment 8 to 12 hours per week (Up to 15 hours during peak times)

August 2026 – March 2027

Main Responsibilities Execute higher-level marketing strategies under the Vice-President, Marketing

Facilitate strong communication and task delegation within the Marketing Commission

Liaise with clear communication with external parties

Assist the Vice-President Marketing with spearheading and managing large-scale projects (i.e. Bizweek, Winter Wonderland, the Annual General Meeting)

Work alongside the Engagement Portfolio to coordinate and market events

Assist and lead the three services under the Marketing Portfolio as needed

Assist with ideating video content ideas and then filming and editing them as needed

Assist with designing promotional graphics for the CUS as needed

Assist with drafting and proofreading the CUS weekly newsletter: CUSunday

Manage and update strategically through social media outlets (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and the CUS website

Analyze engagement and measure platform success

Assist with offline promotional activities (i.e. boothing and posters)

Qualifications Video Editing experience (TikTok, Instagram reels, CapCut, etc.) is an asset

Graphic Design experience (Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator, etc.) is an asset

Experience with social media and email marketing

Strong writing, composition, and editing abilities

Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to manage multiple projects

Ability to operate under pressure and manage crises

Analytical skills to assess and develop a course of action using data collected

Ability to adapt and work effectively in dynamic environments
