At CO3, we are standing up a new engineering team to take technical ownership of a live, active logistics platform integrated into our ecosystem. We need a Senior QA Engineer who is tired of being a passive "ticket-closer" and wants to act as a true Quality Guard — someone who deeply understands existing platform behaviour, prevents bugs before they hit production, and leads quality strategy through system modernization and unification.

Scale & Ecosystem Variety: Hundreds of active integrations across the logistics ecosystem, handling high throughput and complex data feeds. Beyond Basic CRUD Apps: Test complex, high-throughput systems—Kafka streams, telematics feeds, ETL pipelines, and batch file transfers—deeply intertwined with heavy, non-trivial domain logic that actively processes and transforms this data. True Autonomy & Scope: Drive quality end-to-end across API, UI, performance, security, and data integrity rather than sitting in a narrow testing silo.

🎯 Your mission Deconstruct & Guard: Deeply understand existing platform behaviours, edge cases, and data flows to prevent regressions during ongoing maintenance and unification. Automate Across the Stack: Build and maintain robust automated test suites (API, UI, E2E) using modern frameworks like Playwright and Karate. Verify Complex Data Pipelines: Test diverse integration flows—REST APIs, Kafka streams, ETL batches, and file-based data processing—ensuring end-to-end data integrity. Performance & Security: Treat performance and security testing as first-class citizens, verifying system resilience under high logistics data volumes. Adopt AI in QA: Integrate AI tooling into test generation, maintenance, and edge-case analysis to accelerate QA workflows. Embed Quality Upstream: Collaborate closely with Tech Leads and Devs before code is even deployed to ensure testability and architectural quality ("shift-left" mindset).

Requirements

We're looking for you if: Senior Quality Mindset: You don't just find bugs after deployment—you anticipate failure modes, define quality standards, and prevent issues upstream. Automation Depth: Hands-on experience with Playwright and Karate (or similar modern frameworks) for API, UI, and E2E test automation. Data & Integration Testing: Comfortable testing distributed systems, SQL databases, Kafka queues, APIs, ETL pipelines, and file exchanges. Broad Testing Scope: Practical experience spanning functional, performance, and security testing. AI-Curious in QA: Active interest or hands-on experience using AI assistants to write scripts, generate edge-case tests, and analyze coverage. Pragmatic Engineer: You know when to build a rock-solid automation framework and when light validation is enough to keep development velocity high.

Bonus points Experience with system migrations, data parity verification, or platform unifications. Penetration testing or security auditing experience. BDD experience (Cucumber / Gherkin). Transport, logistics, or telematics domain experience.
