Fit‑and‑Proper Person Criteria for RQI Registration

  • No serious criminal records: No convictions for fraud, dishonesty or related offences (in Singapore or overseas)
  • No undischarged bankruptcy status
  • Good compliance track‑record: Clean history as prior RQI or CSP, free from professional misconduct, breach of fiduciary duty or gross negligence
  • No recent RQI de‑registration by ACRA: A 2‑year waiting period applies for re‑application if de‑registered by ACRA
  • Competency to perform duties: Sufficient competence, time, energy and resources to discharge RQI responsibilities

Additional Requirements

  • 2‑5 years of working experience as Singapore Company Secretary or within professional‑services firms
  • Familiar with Bizfile+ system and XBRL filing
  • Degree / diploma in Law, Corporate Governance, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • ICSA / CSIS qualification (held or in‑progress) is a plus
  • Hands‑on AML/CFT compliance experience (e.g. customer due diligence, beneficial ownership identification)

Job Responsibilities (Part‑time Role)

  • Oversee all ACRA‑related CSP business activities including company incorporation, annual return, share transfer and change of registered address. Statutory accountability for authenticity of all submissions to ACRA. Staff may perform data entry; ultimate business risk rests with the RQI.
  • Lead customer CDD and AML/CFT anti‑money‑laundering risk reviews; establish and refine internal risk‑control procedures; conduct sampling review of full client files and provide final sign‑off on due‑diligence outcomes.
  • Liaise with ACRA for regulatory enquiries, respond to regulatory inspections and report business error corrections; identify high‑risk clients and implement corresponding risk‑mitigation measures.
  • Maintain valid personal RQI registration status: complete 2‑yearly renewal; notify ACRA within 14 calendar days upon employer change or personal‑information updates.
  • Guide business team on compliance matters and deliver internal compliance briefings & training.
  • Undertake other corporate‑service compliance‑management tasks assigned by the CSP.
