Role Description The A-Level Mathematics Teacher will deliver high-quality mathematics instruction to A-Level learners, ensuring a strong understanding of core and advanced mathematical concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and teaching lessons, preparing learning materials, assessing student progress, setting and marking assignments, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will contribute to curriculum development, support exam preparation, maintain accurate records, and participate in departmental meetings and school activities. The role also requires fostering a supportive classroom environment that aligns with the school’s values, engaging students through interactive and challenging learning experiences, and maintaining regular communication with parents and guardians as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Qualifications

Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education , with the ability to teach Cambridge A-Level topics confidently. Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development , including designing schemes of work and assessments for A-Level learners. Status as a Qualified Teacher , with relevant teaching certification or license, and proven classroom teaching experience at upper secondary or pre-university level. Relevant academic background, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field. Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse learning needs. Experience preparing learners for external examinations (e.g., Cambridge or equivalent A-Level programs) is an advantage. Alignment with the school’s Christian ethos and values, and willingness to contribute positively to the wider school community.
