JOB POSITION. SALES STAFF REPORT TO. INSURANCE AGENCY MANAGER DEPARTMENT. SALES AND MARKETING

Role Description The Sales staff role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kampala. The Sales staff will identify and approach potential clients, follow up on leads to convert prospects into long-term customers. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining client relationships, conducting product and service presentations, preparing and sharing proposals, and meeting set sales targets. The role also involves gathering market feedback, contributing to sales planning, collaborating with the marketing team on promotional activities, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities and client interactions. The Sales staff will work closely with management to support business development initiatives and ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong sales, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of business planning, business development, and basic advertising concepts
• Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, meet targets, and manage time efficiently
• Basic proficiency in MS Office or similar productivity tools and familiarity with using online communication platforms
• Previous experience in sales, client service, or business development is an added advantage
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field is preferred
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages in Kampala is an asset
