British School Muscat is Oman’s leading British school. We are dynamic, purposeful and personal and are proud to be the original and only not-for-profit British school in Muscat.

We are looking to appoint an innovative and well-qualified Head of Content and Marketing to ensure clear, effective marketing and play a key role in delivering a world-class education for British School Muscat students. All applicants must be degree qualified in marketing, communications, journalism, film, digital media or a related field, with a UK or internationally recognised equivalent qualification.

Start date: November 2026

Closing date: 1 October 2026

The closing date is Thursday 1 October 2026. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and interviews could be arranged before the closing date. It is advisable to submit your application at the earliest opportunity. The school reserves the right to make an earlier appointment if a suitable candidate is identified.

Portfolio / Showreel requirements

Candidates must submit a portfolio or showreel demonstrating their self-produced creative and marketing work. This should include examples of video content demonstrating the candidate’s involvement across the production process, including filming, editing and publication.

The portfolio or showreel should, where relevant, also demonstrate skills in photography, image editing, graphic/design work, social media content and digital marketing. Candidates should clearly indicate their individual role and contribution to each example, particularly where work was produced as part of a team.

The portfolio/showreel should be provided as an accessible online link. A showreel should be no more than 5 minutes in length; alternatively, candidates may submit a portfolio containing up to 10 examples of work.

Any examples featuring children or young people must have been produced and published with the appropriate permissions and in accordance with relevant safeguarding and data protection requirements.
