YOUR PROFILE:

  • BSC or MSC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design related work in power electronics, preferably in automotive industry
  • Laws, norms and standard within railway industry
  • Good knowledge of connectors, terminal blocks, harnesses and similar components
  • Knowledge in networks and communication principals
  • EMC and PCB knowledge, experience in Testing, 3D Design Experience
  • Experience in production and assembly of electrical systems
  • Comfortable working within a global network

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the position is to develop and optimize the electrical hardware functionality for our propulsion products, including internal integration of components and defining the external interface of the product towards the train. The main objectives are:

  • Realize the hardware functionality (design of electrical circuits, specify and select components)
  • Integrate the functionality in the products (design and specify harnesses, wiring, bus bars and routing inside the products)
  • Standardize the hardware functionality area for increased reuse
  • Develop design guidelines and processes and support and review other design work
  • Ensure fulfillment of legal requirements and international standards in the electrical area
  • Collaborate with sub suppliers related to harnesses and wiring (power, signal, relays, connectors, terminal blocks etc)
  • Coordinate work with other team members globally

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in Converter iterative product development.
  • Continuous improvements of methodology, processes and tools within area of expertise.
  • Provide expert support, review, train others, lead complex investigations and provide problem solutions for propulsion systems
  • Drive standardization and DfM, DfA and DtC in design work, Interface with production, supply management and suppliers to ensure cost efficient producible designs
  • Manage customer interface discussions, drive designs solutions and ensure integration into the vehicle design
