Network Engineer

Requirements

Key responsibilities

Administer LAN, WAN, routing, switching, wireless, VPN and network-security components within the approved scope.

Monitor network health, capacity and availability and respond to alerts, incidents and performance degradation.

Troubleshoot connectivity across offices, data centres, hosted environments and approved external services.

Coordinate approved changes with telecom providers, TDRA and other relevant parties.

Maintain network diagrams, IP plans, configuration baselines, inventories, backups and operational runbooks.

Support firewall-rule, segmentation and secure-connectivity activities in coordination with cybersecurity.

Contribute to resilience, capacity, failover and disaster-recovery testing.

Participate in agreed on-call coverage for critical network incidents.

Minimum experience and qualifications

Minimum 6 years of enterprise network engineering experience.

Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, wireless, VPN, firewalls and network monitoring.

CCNP or equivalent professional-level certification preferred; CCIE is an advantage.

Relevant Fortinet, Palo Alto or equivalent security-platform experience preferred.

Strong incident troubleshooting and technical documentation capability.
