Role Description The Clinical Oncology Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana. The specialist will provide comprehensive clinical oncology services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of individuals with cancer in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Daily responsibilities include reviewing clinical histories, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing and monitoring therapies (such as chemotherapy and targeted treatments), and ensuring evidence-based, person-centered care. The role also involves participating in clinical research initiatives, contributing to protocol development, supporting education and training activities, and maintaining accurate documentation aligned with institutional and regulatory standards. The Specialist will work closely with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and allied health professionals to improve cancer care outcomes and support continuous quality improvement. Qualifications

Strong clinical expertise in Oncology and Cancer care, including diagnosis, staging, and management across different tumor types. Solid foundation in Medicine , with training in internal medicine or related fields and demonstrated experience in hospital or clinical settings. Knowledge of Pharmacy principles as they apply to oncology, including chemotherapy protocols, targeted therapies, supportive medications, and safe drug handling. Experience in Research , including participation in clinical studies, data collection, and application of evidence-based guidelines to practice. Relevant medical degree (e.g., MD or equivalent) with specialization or advanced training in oncology; board certification or eligibility in oncology is an advantage. Current professional registration or license in good standing, with eligibility to practice in Ghana. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and culturally diverse teams.
