Job purpose

The assistant restaurant manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing and supervising the team, and actively contributing to exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food preparation and presentation, check the quantity and quality of displayed items, and take necessary actions to ensure high-quality meals are produced.
• Manage restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintenance checks, shift management, and coordination with the purchasing department.
• Monitor team performance and restaurant targets, ensure work meets productivity, quality, and timeliness standards, and reward the team accordingly.
• Handle customer service activities, including complaints, complex queries, and the investigation and resolution of customer problems.
• Assess displayed items to ensure their quantity and quality meet specified standards, and take appropriate action as needed.
• Follow the organization’s health, safety, and environment policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and safeguard the environment and the well-being of oneself and others.
• Monitor daily food and beverage costs, ensure budgets align with management plans, and optimize inventory and pricing strategies.
• Record all invoices in accordance with company policy.

Language and technical skills

Language proficiency

• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.

Technical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in food and beverage, hospitality management, or a related field.

Experience

General experience Four to six years of experience in food and beverage operations or a similar role.

Managerial experience One year of experience in a managerial role.
