The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled and dedicated Arabic teacher to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching Arabic to both native Arabic speakers and non-Arabic-speaking learners. They will demonstrate a strong understanding of differentiated instruction and the ability to adapt teaching and learning to meet a broad range of abilities, backgrounds and language profiles.

Experience within an International Baccalaureate (IB) environment is highly desirable. The successful candidate should understand inquiry-based and concept-driven learning and be committed to developing students as confident, purposeful communicators.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated Arabic lessons for native and non-native Arabic speakers.

Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, together with their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary.

Apply effective differentiation strategies to support students across a wide range of Arabic language proficiency levels.

Use inquiry-based, student-centred and concept-driven approaches to teaching and learning.

Create authentic learning experiences that develop students’ appreciation of Arabic language, literature, culture and heritage.

Use innovative teaching strategies, educational technology and appropriate digital resources to enhance learning and engagement.

Monitor, assess and document student progress, using assessment information to inform planning, support and intervention.

Provide timely and constructive feedback that enables students to become independent and confident learners.

Contribute to collaborative planning, curriculum development, moderation and whole-school initiatives.

Build positive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
