*Position Summary*

We are currently looking to add a hardworking, enthusiastic Carpenter with a strong commitment to safety to our team. The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks related to commercial and industrial construction projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to deliver high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced in general construction and carpentry practices.

*Key Principal Duties & Responsibilities*

*Include but are not limited to:*

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials including wood, steel studs, drywall backing, and other construction materials.
• Construct, install, repair, and maintain structural and architectural components of buildings and construction projects.
• Install doors, frames, blocking, trim, siding, and other carpentry-related finishes as required.
• Perform framing, layout, and general carpentry work in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Safely operate hand and power tools including saws, drills, nailers, levels, lasers, and measuring equipment.
• Assist other trades and crews as required to support project schedules and objectives.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow all Aman Builders safety procedures, site policies, and OHS regulations.
• Use appropriate PPE and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Identify and report hazards, deficiencies, or safety concerns to supervisors.

*Knowledge and Skills RequiredInclude but are not limited to:*

• Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate is an asset but not required.
• Valid Fall Protection certification and ability to work at heights is preferred.
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) training is preferred.
• Strong understanding of carpentry methods, materials, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in the use of carpentry hand tools and power tools.
• Physically able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work out of town on a 10 days on and 4 days off rotation.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
