WE'RE HIRING: ACCOUNTS OFFICER

AMA Medical Manufacturing | Kaduna, Nigeria | Full-time, on-site

Reports to: Chief Accountant

AMA Medical Manufacturing, a Kaduna-based manufacturer of sterile IV fluids, is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Officer to join our finance team. You will handle day-to-day accounting operations, accurate record keeping, and timely reporting, with a focus on the cost and inventory accounting needs of a manufacturing business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Record daily financial transactions accurately and maintain the general ledger
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations
• Process supplier invoices, track customer payments, and maintain creditor and debtor records
• Support inventory and production costing, and reconcile stock records with stores
• Assist with month-end close, management accounts, and audit schedules
• Support statutory filings and remittances (VAT, PAYE, withholding tax)
• Flag errors or unusual transactions promptly and comply with internal controls

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Accounting or a related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration)
• At least 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts department
• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting software for posting, reconciliation, and reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis
• Working knowledge of inventory valuation, production costing, and variance analysis
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work with procurement, production, and stores teams
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, especially at month-end and during audits
• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and accountability

Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial setting is an added advantage.
