Key Responsibilities: Develop Comprehensive Estimates: Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Tender Management: Lead the tendering process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value. Cost Analysis & Control: Conduct thorough cost analysis, identify potential risks, and propose value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets without compromising quality. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope, costs, and timelines. Market Research: Stay abreast of market trends, material costs, and labor rates in the construction and civil engineering sectors to ensure competitive and accurate estimations. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of estimates, bids, and project costs, providing regular reports to senior management. Skills & Technologies: You will leverage your proficiency in Cost Estimation , Civil Engineering principles, and advanced Tendering methodologies. Expertise in tools like AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is essential, alongside strong capabilities in Quantity Surveying , Project Management , and Risk Assessment . Experience That Excites Us: A minimum of 2-7 years of progressive experience in cost estimation, tendering, or civil engineering roles, preferably within the construction or architecture sectors. Demonstrated success in preparing accurate and competitive bids for complex projects. Essential Skills & Expertise: Exceptional proficiency in Cost Estimation , Civil Engineering principles, and Tendering processes. Strong command of Engineering fundamentals and project lifecycle. Proven ability in Quantity Surveying and material take-offs. Experience with Project Management methodologies and practices. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and estimation. Solid understanding of Bidding Strategy and contract negotiation. Familiarity with Contract Management and project legal aspects. Adept at Risk Assessment and mitigation strategies in project costing. Outstanding Analytical Skills , attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field is highly advantageous.
