Bunker Procurement Executive | Shipowner

Overview

Support the procurement of marine fuel for a shipowner, ensuring reliable supply, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure bunker fuel for assigned vessels and trade routes.
• Negotiate with oil majors, suppliers, traders, and bunker brokers to secure competitive pricing.
• Monitor fuel market trends and supplier performance to optimize procurement decisions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support vessel fuel requirements.
• Manage bunker-related quality, quantity, and claims issues.
• Liaise with surveyors, testing laboratories, and other fuel service providers.
• Review bunker invoices and support cost control initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Maritime, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Good understanding of bunker procurement, bunker trading, marine fuel operations, or vessel operations.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of marine fuels, fuel specifications, and bunker market dynamics.
• Experience with bunker claims, invoicing, or fuel-related operational matters is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
