Ceramic Tilers are primarily responsible for installing and repairing tiles, with daily duties and responsibilities including: Read blueprints or plan layouts to understand the tiling work required Measure and cut tiles to fit into tight corners and around obstacles Apply adhesive substances like cement to surfaces to be tiled Lay tiles in the designed pattern, ensuring they are aligned properly Use tools such as tile cutters and grinders to cut and shape tiles Mix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, or mortar over surfaces Repair and replace tiles that may become cracked or damaged over time Seal and wipe surfaces to prevent water seepage and damage Maintain a clean and safe workspace Estimate costs and quantities of materials needed for tiling projects
