accounting clerk

Automotive Group is looking for accounting personnel for multiple auto dealerships. Duties may include functions varying from accounts payable and receivable to deal processing. Please note that this position is in a centralized environment and the individual selected for the position must be comfortable transitioning between multiple dealerships as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

• Daily deposit reconciliation and postings.
• Accounts receivable collections.
• Customer payment application and account reconciliation.
• Vendor invoice entry, payment, and account reconciliation.
• Document archiving as assigned.
• Auditing and posting daily unit sales.
• Auditing, posting and reconciling sales and finance professionals commissions.
• Processing lien payouts for customer trade vehicles.
• Processing payouts for inventory flooring.
• Auditing and reconciling various schedules up to and including customer accessories, warranties, and vehicle inventory.
• Various accounting journal entries as assigned.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• PC Skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to understand/prepare documentation, update different host systems, and maintain records.
• Automotive experience is a requirement.
• Formal accounting education is an asset.
• CDK experience is an asset.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to transition between multiple dealerships as required.
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Confidence in problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000 to $48,000 to start based on experience.
