Pulsed Power Modeling and Simulation Engineer
Responsibilities Work with pulsed power design engineers to generate models of systems and components
Work with a multidisciplinary team to create, optimize and validate models of complex physical processes and phenomena.
Aid in the design of experiments for validation of models against real-world data
Work with design engineers to enhance the workflow from concept to final print based upon optimizations in simulation.
Qualifications Education: B.S. or M.S.in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience: 2+ years of experience with field solver/particle-in-cell/circuit simulation codes
Strong communication skills across disciplines and departments
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
Desired Proficiency in COMSOL, CST and/or LT-SPICE
Proficiency in solid-modeling software, e.g. SolidWorks or NX
Strong knowledge of electromagnetic field principles
Mechanical design skills – knowledge of GD&T principles a plus
Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB. Experience with VBA and Java a plus
