About the company

VivaFemini is building a connected women’s health ecosystem across digital products and services. We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Finance, Strategy & Investments Analyst to assess opportunities, develop robust business cases and identify and progress suitable funding.

Your tasks

The Analyst will help VivaFemini make well-informed financial and strategic decisions. You will build and review financial models, assess the viability of products and projects, and actively develop funding opportunities, including grants and other non-debt funding. You will work closely with Product, Projects, Finance and other functional teams. The role involves both rigorous financial analysis and the practical work of moving suitable funding opportunities from research through proposal development, due diligence and follow-up.

What success looks like Success in this role means giving VivaFemini’s leadership a clear, evidence-based view of which products, projects and investment opportunities are financially viable, and what needs to change when the numbers do not support proceeding. You will also build and actively progress a credible funding pipeline, taking suitable opportunities from identification and assessment through proposal development, due diligence and disbursement follow-up.

You will maintain accurate financial models and assumptions, produce recommendations that leaders can act on, and track approved opportunities against their business cases. Your contribution will be measured through the quality and timeliness of your analysis, the funding opportunities progressed and secured against approved objectives, and the usefulness of your recommendations to VivaFemini’s decision-making.

  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses and business cases for products, projects, programmes and expansion opportunities.
  • Assess product viability and unit economics, including revenue assumptions, pricing, costs, contribution margin, break-even points and other relevant measures.
  • Test how changes in demand, pricing, costs, funding or delivery timelines could affect a proposal.
  • Prepare decision-ready reports recommending whether a proposal appears ready to proceed, needs revision, should be deferred or is not viable on the available evidence.
  • Identify and assess suitable grants, foundations, impact investors, development finance institutions, lenders and other approved funding sources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant funders and investors, and progress suitable opportunities from initial research through applications, due diligence and disbursement follow-up.
  • Prepare or coordinate grant applications, concept notes, proposals, funding budgets, pitch materials and supporting documentation.
  • Work with Product, Projects and other teams to develop fundable initiatives and gather the information needed to assess and present them.
  • Track approved products, projects and funding against their business cases, and report material differences in cost, revenue, delivery or expected outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate financial models, calculations, assumptions, source documents and funding records.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment, Business Analysis or a related field.
  • At least four years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investment analysis, corporate finance, fundraising, transaction advisory or a closely related role.
  • Experience working in a deal-oriented organisation such as an investment firm, corporate finance adviser, development finance institution or fundraising environment with substantial hands-on involvement in funding, investment or financing transactions through to completion.
  • Experience building and analysing financial models, forecasts, budgets, business cases, unit economics and investment assessments.
  • Strong FP&A skills, including financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario analysis and decision support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial and operational data; familiarity with Zoho finance or business applications, or similar ERP and financial systems.
  • Ability to assess the financial and commercial viability of products, projects and programmes, and present clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience identifying funding opportunities and supporting grant, investment or fundraising applications.
  • Experience preparing investor or funder materials and supporting due diligence.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability, with close attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis clearly.
