About You:  Versana is looking for a seasoned Technical Account Manager. You will join our Sales team and be responsible for multiple aspects of our sales process. You bring a deep knowledge of the loan market and financial software to help our prospects contextualize Versana as a solution. In this role you will work directly with the sales team to understand the needs of our customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and ultimately close business. You will report to the Head of Sales and work collaboratively across internal departments including Product, Technology, and Client Engagement.

Key Responsibilities: Act as subject matter expert during sales process and thoroughly understand all aspects of the platform in order to explain the technology to all types of users

Assist in defining sales strategy and is proactive about preparing appropriate data and reports for sales events

Participate in demand creation events (seminars, trade shows, conferences, etc.)

Build and demo complex client-specific Custom Demonstrations / Proof of Concepts

Provide pre- and post-sales technical expertise as well as ongoing consultation to clients and prospects related to our customer-facing data feed and API solutions

Synthesize knowledge gained from customers interactions back to business management, Product and Technology teams

Proactive about maintaining high level of product/solution knowledge, as well as applicable technology changes

Deliver high quality documentation of recommended solutions to clients and internal stakeholders

Present Versana technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers

Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Versana technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation

Immerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Versana in relation to them.

Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Versana’s products and marketing

Must Haves Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Computer Science a plus

8-12 years experience in financial markets, data, or technology sales

Strong knowledge of portfolio and investment accounting for middle and back-office workflow and operations highly desired

Working knowledge of asset management industry a plus

Strong understanding of the business process and workflows of Versana’ target markets. Strong technical experience with ability to relate technical advantages into business benefits

Outstanding presenting skills to both technical, front office, and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.

Experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology and/or Data at Scale concepts

Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems and Versana’s solutions

Nice to Haves: Syndicated Loan sales experience

International sales experience
