Maximo Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maximo Project Manager to lead delivery of a major Maximo upgrade and migration programme within the Aerospace & Defence sector .

The programme involves the technical upgrade and lift-and-shift migration of an existing Maximo 7.6 environment running on Oracle to Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.x running on DB2 , hosted in Azure Cloud.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overall delivery coordination, governance, RAID management, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination and schedule management across multiple technical workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a large-scale Maximo upgrade and migration programme .
• Manage programme delivery across multiple technical and business workstreams.
• Own and maintain RAID logs , ensuring risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies are actively managed.
• Establish and maintain effective project governance and reporting.
• Coordinate delivery across technical, architecture, infrastructure, application and database teams.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party delivery partners.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies and delivery plans.
• Track progress against agreed scope, timelines and deliverables.
• Identify delivery risks and drive appropriate mitigation and resolution.
• Coordinate activities across the wider Aerospace & Defence programme .
• Provide regular project status reporting to programme leadership.
• Support escalation and resolution of project delivery issues.
• Ensure project activities remain aligned with agreed governance and delivery standards.

Project Environment

Current Environment: Maximo 7.6 + Oracle Target Environment: Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.x + DB2 Cloud Platform: Azure Programme: Maximo upgrade and lift-and-shift migration Sector: Aerospace & Defence Duration: Approximately 8 months

Required Skills

• Strong Project Management experience in large-scale technology programmes.
• Proven experience delivering upgrade and migration programmes .
• Experience with Maximo or large enterprise application programmes.
• Strong RAID management and project governance experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong vendor and third-party management experience.
• Proven schedule, milestone and dependency management experience.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical workstreams.
• Experience within Defence / Aerospace & Defence programmes.
• Strong risk and issue management capabilities.
• Experience working in complex enterprise transformation environments.

Eligibility & Security

SC Clearance required or candidate must be eligible and able to obtain it. Ability to work 1–2 days per week onsite in Derby .
