The estimated time of the project is 3 months . During this time you will: Author, curate, and validate material data for flat-rolled carbon steel (coils, sheets, slits)

Build a structured taxonomy including: form, grade, coating, mechanical and chemical properties, surface condition and delivery condition

Extract, interpret, and standardize data from EN/DIN norms, and customer specs

Define and document material equivalencies and grade conversion rules across EN, DIN, ASTM, AISI, JIS and other standards

Identify missing or ambiguous data and propose methods for completion or validation

Work closely with our data & product team to define data schemas, entity relationships, user interfaces and workflows required to create and maintain the materials knowledge base

Provide internal training on steel norms, material properties, and classification principles

Your profile 10+ years of commercial experience in flat-rolled steel (coils, sheets, slit coils)

Commercial awareness of how material properties affect buying, selling, and processing decisions (required)

Strong knowledge of carbon steel grades, especially across EN/DIN standards

Experience interpreting standards such as EN 10111, EN 10025-2, EN 10130, EN 10346, etc.

Understanding of international equivalents (ASTM, AISI, SAE, JIS, GB)

Ability to read, interpret, and standardize mechanical and chemical properties from mill certificates and datasheets

Comfort working with structured data in Excel, Google Sheets, etc.

Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to complex technical data

Excellent command of English; German is a strong advantage due to DIN/EN documentation

NICE TO HAVE Experience with digital tools, ERP systems, or digital transformation initiatives in metals

Exposure to material classification, taxonomy building, or technical data structuring

Background from a steel mill or service center, understanding of flat-rolled product flows within trading, distribution, or OEM supply chains

Why us? Ability to create real impact in a global industry at the core of economic development

Ownership over a critical project with outcome-driven autonomy

Fast-paced yet collaborative culture that values both expertise and teamwork
