Your tasks

We?re looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team and contribute to exciting corporate workplace and commercial interior design projects for well-known global clients. This is an opportunity to take ownership of your work, collaborate with clients and consultants, and see your designs move from concept to completion.

What You?ll Do

• Design & Documentation: Develop, review and coordinate design and construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp, with a strong emphasis on Revit.
• Space Planning: Develop test-fits, space plans and design solutions that balance creativity, functionality and client needs.
• Project Coordination: Manage day-to-day project tasks, coordinate with internal teams, consultants, vendors and other project partners, and keep deliverables on track.
• Contract Administration: Take ownership of contract administration activities, including reviewing construction progress and coordinating project-related requirements.
• Technical Coordination: Work with engineering consultants and other project partners to prepare permit-ready drawing packages and help ensure compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
• Client Collaboration: Communicate with clients regarding project activities, participate in meetings and site visits, and support the delivery of successful project outcomes.
• Team Support: Work closely with senior designers and provide guidance and direction to junior team members when needed.
• Project Accountability: Monitor your workload, communicate progress and flag issues early to keep projects moving forward.
• Team & Industry Engagement: Participate in team activities and industry events, representing the firm professionally.

Requirements

Revit is essential to this role. We?re looking for someone with strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail and the confidence to manage project work while collaborating with the broader team.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of interior design experience within a design firm.
• A degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Strong, hands-on Revit experience and the ability to produce coordinated, high-quality drawing packages.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with corporate workplace and commercial interior design projects, including renovations, new construction and contract administration.
• Strong skills in test-fits, space planning and design development.
• Knowledge of applicable Canadian building codes and the Ontario Building Code.
• NCIDQ certification preferred. ARIDO registration or eligibility to register is an asset.
• LEED certification is an asset.
• Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• The ability to manage your own work, solve problems and work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• A creative mindset, attention to detail and a genuine interest in producing thoughtful, high-quality design.
