Graduate Procurement Specialist

Starting Salary: £25,000 to £26,000 Location: Crawley Job Type: Full-time In-Office

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Receive coaching, training, support, and mentoring to gain the necessary knowledge and develop skills to effectively contribute to our team.
  • Progress to managing your own workload, handling enquiries, and producing competitive quotes to secure profitable business orders.
  • Work on a range of tasks from fast-paced, high volume, quick turnaround requests to orders with a large technical scope and longer lead times.
  • Globally source a wide range of goods, materials, equipment, and services.
  • Select the right product, negotiate the right price, and meet delivery criteria.
  • Compile and present bids that meet exact technical and commercial requirements and facilitate positive decisions.
  • Effectively manage relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Develop practical business acumen and an understanding of the commercial challenges and rewards of working in an SME environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • University degree.
  • Relevant work experience is ideal, possibly gained from working in a procurement, account management, or trading house environment, or be newly qualified with limited or different career experience.
  • Intuitive interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong and confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Customer-focused problem-solving skills.
  • Effective IT, time management, and personal organisational skills.
